Roma!

We took a quick 2 hour 45 minute jaunt to Rome today. The new Fressciarossa trains go approximately 300 km/hr, and are highly recommended. Plus, the wifi costs $0.01, which makes the boys happy.

We arrived in Rome, and our room is beautiful. It’s not in a traditional hotel, but is in an apartment building near the Pantheon. Bambino approves.

We spent the day exploring Rome. We hit the Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and a couple beautiful neighborhood churches. Bambino likes cacio e pepe, in case you wondered. The street musicians are fantastic too.

Bambino Takes Over Milan Design Week

It was a lazy morning. We had breakfast, packed, and ran a few quick errands. Bambino and I had lunch at our favorite bakery. He (yet again) received the complimentary “cute baby” cookie. He’s loving Italy.

After lunch, il Marito picked us up, and we headed into Milan. We explored Fuorisalone, part of Milan Design Week, with our friends Giuseppe and Barbara. While the boys checked out some the tech exhibits, I got to look at lots of pretty things. And drink espresso. It was a fantastic girls’ afternoon.

According to il Marito, Bambino spent our time apart flirting with models and kicking soccer balls at the company exhibit. After we met up, he continued blowing kisses at all the beautiful people, and at one point, acquired a dog. (Bambino had offered him a cookie.). Il cane was returned to his rightful owner.

After a long, wonderful day, we headed back to Varese. Tomorrow, we’re off to Rome!
