Siena Redux

Note: I’ve added a few more photos to my last post.  (Our AirBnB host in Siena was having problems with the wifi.)

We loved our stay in Siena.  On our last day, we did a playground tour of the city.

We toured the beautiful Duomo.

Bambino napped while we visited an enoteca and a coffee bar.

There was another run through il Campo.

We wrapped up the day with  a remarkably good meal at Taverna di San Giuseppe.  We showed up without a reservation, and they reworked their seating plan for us. We ended up with a beautiful table, the wait staff entertained Bambino with toys, and we visited the wine cellar (which was built by the Etruscans).  On top of a beautiful location and wonderful service, the food was some of the best I’ve had in Italy.

It was a slow, sweet end to our visit.  We will be back to Siena and “our” apartment there.

 Grazie Mille.
