The boys enjoyed Father’s Day at the Open. Although it was insanely hot, they found some good vantage points, saw some excellent golf, and enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

Hushpuppy, Tatertot, and the moms took it easy. We returned to the fabulous playground from yesterday. With a castle, boat, sandboxes, and all sorts of other fun, it made me want to romp like a little kid too. It reminded me of an oversized Taft’s Playground (in Woods Hole).

After a couple naps, we headed to the Apex Community Park. We hiked a one-mile paved path along a small lake. We saw lots of ducks, turtles, squirrels, friendly dogs, and exercise enthusiasts. Puppy and Tot enjoyed running around and collecting sticks.

It was the perfect end to our NC vacation.
